Cabopino is a quiet marina situated between Marbella and Benalmadena.

Located between Marbella and Fuengirola and close to Calahonda, Cabopino is a wonderful place to visit, or to purchase property. It is often overlooked by tourists because of its small size and lack of visibility from the road. However, it has a lot to offer and plenty of charm, not to mention some great bars and restaurants and some of the best beaches on the Costa del Sol.

Cabopino marina sits in a sheltered harbour and is popular with yachts and small power boats for its charm and elegance. It is surrounded by international bars and restaurants and has some lovely residential property options.

Either side of the marina are miles of wide sandy beaches, including protected dunes. Playa Cabopino is one of the nicest beaches on the Costa del Sol, a sheltered bay with lovely sand and calm and shallow waters. It is perfect for families with children wanting safe waters, protection from the wind and a number of excellent beach bars and restaurants to keep you fed and watered. However, be aware that the dune area of Playa Artola is a nudist beach, so you may see a little more than you bargained for if you take a stroll down there from the port.

Over the other side of the motorway is the 18-hole golf course Cabopino Golf, and in nearby Calahonda and Elviria, there’s all the shops, bars, restaurants and services that you could need. International families like the location for the peace and the facilities, as well as its proximity to the English International College and some of the most highly regarded Spanish state schools, Pinolivo and Platero in Elviria.

Properties in Cabopino include apartments in the port, overlooking the yachts, apartments and townhouses in the surrounding urbanisations, plus villas and townhouses within the pine trees from which the area takes its names.

Not to be missed: Playa Cabopino, Alberts Bar & Grill in the Port and taking a stroll along the beach, it’s easy to walk to Calahonda if you want to stretch your legs.

Fun Fact: There are many vibrant and beautiful flowers in Cabopino port, over 15 different colours!
